Pacharán is a Spanish liqueur which is made from crushed and fermented sloes, the black-purple coloured fruits of the blackthorn tree. It is almost exclusively made in the Spanish region of Navarra. The drink has been made in the region since the Middle Ages. Pacharán is traditionally consumed in a very simple manner, chilled. It can also be served over ice. The rich, sweet, yet spiced flavor of Pacharán is great for this type of service. It makes a wonderful digestif for after dinner.
Ethanol from the distillation of beet molasses, aniseed essential oils, sugar and sloes.
