Pinord Vaquos Crianza. Red wine from Ribera del Duero, Spain. Made from Tempranillo grapes, aged during 14 months in French and American oak barrels. The primary red fruit flavours combined with nuts mix perfectly with vanilla, spices and cocoa. Mouth-filling, fleshy and voluptuous. Excellent balance between tannins and acidity. Pleasant mouth-feel and lingering finish and retro-nasal perception. Pairs perfectly with beef and lamb dishes. Towards the 6th century BC, the Vaquos were the first people who chose to permanently settle on the Northern Meseta or plain of Castille. They were socially and culturally very advanced and grew grapes to make wine, making it a central element of their social festivities and banquets, as well as during funeral rites. Pinord would like to pay homage to the Vaquos, by naming their wines made in Pesquera de Duero.
