The recipe of Sardine Croquettes, is a simple and very tasty fish recipe. The perfect go-to choice for an aperitivo to share along with a round of cañas 🍻 (glass of beer of 200 milliliters).
INGREDIENTS:
METHOD:
1. Peel and chop the onion and garlic finely.
2. We put in a pan olive oil, about four tablespoons and poach over low heat, so that it is very soft, the onion and garlic.
3. Drain the oil from the tin, place the sardines on a plate and shred them with a fork.
4. When the onion begins to brown, add the flour. Cook for a few minutes.
5. Incorporate the sardines and integrate everything well, add a pinch of salt and if you wish a pinch of freshly ground black pepper.
6. Add the milk, little by little, stirring constantly. We have to obtain a creamy mixture, when the mixture takes off from the pan without problems it is ready.
7. Let the dough cool a little, cover well with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator, for best results leave it overnight.
8. Prepare a container with beaten egg and another with breadcrumbs.
9. Form the croquettes, passing through breadcrumbs, then through beaten egg, drain the egg and repeat the process again.
10. When all our croquettes are ready, we fry them in abundant hot oil, when they are golden brown, we take them out and put them on absorbent paper and they are ready to eat.
